TFORMer SDK Guide
2026-10-23
Use TFORMer SDK to generate and print reports, labels, and other documents from Designer-created layouts and dynamic data.
This guide is intended for software developers and system administrators. Start with the interface you use; refer to the shared concepts, workflow, and deployment chapters as needed.
Start Here
Choose a Windows Quick Start. Each uses the same product label: generate a PDF, change the product name, and generate it again. The matching layout is included:
Download all Quick Start examples (ZIP) — includes source code, layouts, sample data where needed and instructions in a separate folder for each interface. Individual downloads are also available in each Quick Start. SDK libraries and development tools are not included.
The .NET example obtains the SDK package from NuGet; the other examples use an installed Windows SDK. For Linux and further interface details, choose your interface below.
For background, see:
- Introduction: applications and product context.
- Core Output Workflow: runtime steps.
- Core Concepts: terminology.
Choose an Interface
Use a Quick Start for a complete, runnable first example. Continue with an Interface Guide below for integration, platform setup and further tasks. Use the API References to look up classes, functions and parameters.
- .NET for managed applications and services;
- the native C API with platform-specific string and build rules;
- Java through the Java classes and native JNI library;
- COM / VBA for COM-capable Windows environments and Microsoft Office automation; and
- TFPrint as the SDK command-line application for batch, shell, and server-side processes.
Use each interface guide for its output mechanisms, including file and stream output where supported. This guide introduces TFPrint; the TFPrint Command-Line Reference is the complete command and parameter reference.
