Redistributing TBarCode .NET
When distributing an application that uses TBarCode .NET, include the managed assembly and the native TBarCode library required by the application.
In most cases, redistributing TBarCode .NET requires a Developer license. Different license terms may apply to site-bound in-house applications.
Deploy with NuGet
When the project references the TECIT.TBarCode NuGet package:
- Build or publish the application.
- Deploy the complete build or publish output. The NuGet package adds the
selected managed assembly,
TBarCode11.dll, andTBarCode11_x64.dllto the output. - Install the .NET runtime used by the application and the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable for every process architecture you intend to support on the target computer.
- Verify that the application can generate a barcode with every process architecture you intend to support.
Deploy Manually
Include the managed assembly referenced by the project:
TECIT.TBarCode.dllfor .NET Framework applications that use the barcode class or the Windows Forms and ASP.NET Web Forms controls; orTECIT.TBarCode.Std.dllfor applications that use the .NET Standard barcode class.
Place the managed assembly and the required native library in the same
directory as the application executable. For an ASP.NET Web Forms application,
place them in the application's bin directory.
| Process architecture | Required native library |
|---|---|
| x86 | TBarCode11.dll |
| x64 | TBarCode11_x64.dll |
| Any CPU with x86 and x64 support | Both native libraries |
An Any CPU application can run as either a 32-bit or 64-bit process. TBarCode .NET loads the native library that matches the running process.
Install the .NET runtime used by the application and the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable for each supported process architecture. Do not redistribute other SDK files unless the applicable license permits it.
Optional Runtime Files
If the application sets Barcode.Compression to Deflate, GZip, or ZLib,
also deploy the architecture-matching zlib1.dll. The file is not required
with the default setting Compression.None.
If the application generates barcodes containing GS1 Application Identifiers,
it also needs gs1-syntax-dictionary.txt. The TBarCode SDK setup installs this
file and configures its directory automatically. When deploying without the
SDK setup, include the current file supplied with TBarCode SDK and either:
- call
Barcode.InitializeGs1(path)with the full file path or its directory; or - set
TECIT_TBCSDK_CONFIGURATION_PATHto its directory before the application starts.
